Upgrading a failing water system or redeveloping a blighted area of town is a huge undertaking, and most small communities do not have the expertise nor the resources to take it on alone. SICOG’s Community and Economic Development team has the savvy and the experience to handle the planning, coordination and administration of the public works and redevelopment projects that are so critical to thriving communities. We can also help source the funding, working closely with communities to pull together project financing via grants, loans, and bonds and other financing tools.
It may help to understand the extent of the ways we can help communities by reading case studies on projects we have helped communities implement and complete. You’ll find them on our Projects and Services page.

“Public transportation plays a vital role in the success of a regional economy. Whether it is transporting employees to and from work, relieving congestion on crowded roads, or providing a cost effective alternative to land use issues, public transportation will continue to play a role in helping Idaho’s economy grow and succeed.” —Idaho Transportation Department
SICOG has established relationships with the Idaho Transportation Department, Bannock Transportation Planning Organization and public transportation providers like Pocatello Regional Transit in delivering various strategic initiatives. SICOG’s diverse portfolio of transportation projects include creating and implementing communication plans that increase awareness, support, and usage of public transportation options; mobility management strategies that offer training to residents of our communities; and the planning and coordination of resources to enhance the delivery of transportation services in Idaho.
